The low fat and high fibre content result in a low energy density. This allows a considerable amount of food to be fed even during periods of weight loss and/or control, helping to satisfy the dog's appetite. L-carnitine transports fatty acids into the mitochondria and stimulates fat oxidation and the preservation of muscle mass. Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) help maintain normal joint mobility in overweight dogs. Omega-3 fatty acids also help maintain healthy skin and coat. The moderately high protein content helps maintain muscle mass. The complex carbohydrate content and high fibre level promote a gradual release of glucose from the diet, making it suitable for patients with diabetes mellitus.

Weight Control is indicated for weight control, diabetes mellitus, colitis, chronic diarrhea, constipation, hyperlipidemia and cholestasis. Not indicated for small puppies and pregnant or lactating bitches with high energy needs.
