The diet is made from a reduced number of ingredients and is based on eggs and rice. These ingredients have low allergenicity, which makes them perfect for incorporation into hypoallergenic diets. High-quality and easily digestible ingredients make this diet especially suitable for patients with small bowel diarrhea. Psyllium husk contains soluble gel-forming fibers that absorb several times their weight in liquid and are known for their benefits in regulating the activity of the gastrointestinal tract. Purines are the precursors of urate crystals. The significantly low purine content in combination with a reduced protein level and the induction of an alkaline urinary pH make this diet the first choice for reducing the formation of urate crystals.

Food Allergy Management is indicated for food allergy or intolerance, usually with dermatological and/or gastrointestinal manifestations, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea, vomiting and flatulence, malabsorption/maldigestion and urolithiasis due to urate. It is not recommended for small puppies and pregnant or lactating bitches and dogs with demonstrated hypersensitivity to eggs or rice.
