Mode of action:

The change in the Cl/K/Na ratio compensates for electrolyte imbalances due to cardiomyopathy and/or drug treatment. Integration with taurine helps regulate myocardial functionality by regulating cellular ionic exchanges.

The addition of L-carnitine influences lipid metabolism and energy availability.

During the initial stages of the disease, it is possible to reduce the dose of feed to promote weight loss, while in more advanced stages, the high biological value of proteins and the greater digestibility of the diet help to prevent heart failure.

The duration of the diathetic treatment is initially 6 months. Farmina Vet Life Canine Cardiac is a complete dietetic food for adult dogs, indicated for supporting cardiac function in cases of chronic heart failure. This food has a low sodium concentration and an enhanced potassium (K)/sodium (Na) ratio. Spelt, oats, dehydrated chicken meat, fish oil, linseed, corn gluten, hydrolysed animal proteins, dehydrated whole eggs, dehydrated fish, pea fibre, dehydrated beet pulp, potassium chloride, calcium carbonate, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), mannose-based oligosaccharides extracted from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, dehydrated brewer's yeast, monodicalcium phosphate, green tea extract (source of polyphenol), marigold extract (source of lutein).
