Highly digestible ingredients compensate for decreased intestinal enzyme activity and ensure optimal nutrient absorption, making this diet ideal for patients with gastrointestinal disorders such as acute and chronic diarrhea, vomiting and/or flatulence. The high content of fat-soluble vitamins and minerals compensates for impaired intestinal absorption. The increased level of electrolytes compensates for the increased losses that occur during diarrhea and vomiting. It contains yeast ß-1,3/1,6-glucans that can bind to receptors on leukocytes and alert the immune system, supporting the immune response. In addition, the diet contains mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) that can bind to pathogenic bacteria, preventing them from attaching to the intestinal wall. MOS also supports local immunity in the intestine. Psyllium husk contains soluble gel-forming fibers that are known for their beneficial effects in regulating the activity of the gastrointestinal tract and protecting the mucosa. Yucca extract reduces the production of unpleasant-smelling gases and stool odor.

Specific Digestive Support Wet is indicated for cats with acute and chronic gastrointestinal disease associated with diarrhea, vomiting and/or flatulence, malabsorption/maldigestion, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), colitis and convalescence.
