Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hypoallergenic is a complete veterinary diet for puppies and adult dogs, for the reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerances, with hydrolysed protein and selected carbohydrate sources.

Some dogs suffer from food allergies, which can cause skin discomfort and/or digestive disorders. This diet is formulated with a single protein and carbohydrate source. Additionally, the protein source has been broken down (hydrolysed) into very small components, unlikely to trigger an allergic response.

Hydrolysed diets like this are recognised as suitable for use in elimination diet trials, when trying to diagnose (or rule out) food allergies. During this trial it is essential that your dog is fed exclusively with HA Hypoalergenic, that they do not consume any other food or snacks for 8 to 10 weeks and drink only water.

This food is also useful in dogs with severe intestinal disease, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as it is formulated with selected protein sources and is highly digestible.

It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or extension of the period of use.

RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE

For dogs weighing more than 70 kg: for every 5 kg of additional body weight, offer an additional 35 g of dry food.

The recommended period of use is 3 to 8 weeks. If signs of intolerance disappear, it can be used indefinitely.

For puppies under 3 months of age, divide the recommended daily dose into 3-4 moistened meals. After 3 months of age, gradually reduce the amount of water added.
