Ideal for

Royal Canin Vet Hypoallergenic is a veterinary diet specifically formulated for dogs with food allergies, intolerances, or gastrointestinal and dermatological issues. Developed with hydrolysed soya protein, this formula minimises the risk of adverse reactions, offering safe and highly digestible nutrition. It is the ideal choice to support your dog's digestive and skin health, ensuring well-being and quality of life at all stages of life.

Features

This advanced formula uses hydrolysed soya protein isolate, a low molecular weight protein source that significantly reduces the allergenic potential of the diet. The nutrient complex, enriched with essential Omega-3 (0.95%) and Omega-6 (4.27%) fatty acids from fish oil and borage oil, acts synergistically to reinforce the skin's natural protective barrier and promote a healthy coat. In addition to dermatological support, the inclusion of beet pulp and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) favours the balance of intestinal flora and healthy digestion. With a nutritional profile that includes 21% protein and 19% fat, this diet provides adequate metabolisable energy to keep your dog active, being especially indicated for the management of complex conditions such as chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.

Perguntas Frequentes

What is the Royal Canin Vet Hypoallergenic dog diet used for?

This veterinary diet is formulated for dogs with food allergies or intolerances, helping to control and treat dermatological manifestations (skin problems) and digestive issues (such as chronic diarrhoea or inflammatory bowel disease).

What is the main protein source in this formula?

The main protein source is hydrolysed soya protein isolate. Because it is hydrolysed, the protein is broken down into very small molecules, giving it an extremely low allergenic potential and making it perfectly safe for sensitive dogs.

How should I transition my dog to this hypoallergenic diet?

Unlike normal diets, in cases of suspected food allergy or intolerance, the dog's diet must be changed immediately to this diet, without any food transition period.

How long should I feed this diet to my dog?

The hypoallergenic dietary treatment with this formula should be prescribed and maintained for the animal's entire life to ensure that allergic reactions do not reappear.

Does this diet help improve the dog's skin and coat health?

Yes. The formula is enriched with essential Omega-3 (0.95%) and Omega-6 (4.27%) fatty acids from fish oil and borage oil, which help reinforce the skin barrier and maintain a healthy skin and coat.

Are there any contraindications for using this veterinary diet?

Yes. This diet is contraindicated for dogs suffering from pancreatitis (or with a history of the disease) and hyperlipidaemia. You should always consult your veterinarian before starting its administration.

Is this formula suitable for dogs with chronic digestive problems?

Yes. In addition to being hypoallergenic, it contains beet pulp and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) that promote healthy digestion, making it suitable for the management of conditions such as chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI).
