Mode of action:

The low concentration of proteins, phosphorus and magnesium creates an unfavorable environment for the aggregation and precipitation of struvite crystals. The acidifying action of DL-methionine and ammonium chloride maintains a slightly acidic urinary pH, inhibiting crystal formation and excessive bacterial growth. These conditions make the product useful in the treatment of idiopathic cystitis.

Calcium sulfate, by providing a slight urinary acidification, inhibits the formation of struvite crystals. The reduced protein content, by limiting the excretion of urea, reduces bacterial proliferation. Small amounts of magnesium, phosphorus and calcium reduce the formation and aggregation of crystals.

How to use:

It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use or prolongation. Serve the product respecting the daily dose indicated in the table. Farmina Vet Life Feline Struvite Management formula is a complete dietetic food indicated for cases of recurrent struvite uroliths and idiopathic cystitis. Corn gluten, rice, dehydrated chicken meat, oats, animal fat, hydrolysed animal proteins, dehydrated whole eggs, fish oil, dehydrated fish, potassium chloride, vegetable oil, fructooligosaccharides, mannanoligosaccharides, sodium chloride, glucosamine, marigold extract (source of lutein). Urine acidifier: ammonium chloride (3.5 g/kg); DL-methionine (2.5 g/kg).
