SPECIFIC® CPD-XL Puppy Large & Giant Breed is not the ideal choice for pregnant and lactating bitches, as it has a lower energy density and calcium content than SPECIFIC® CPD-S Puppy Small Breed or SPECIFIC® CPD-M Puppy Medium Breed. For this reason, SPECIFIC® CPD-M Puppy Medium Breed is the recommended diet for pregnant and lactating bitches of large and giant breeds.
