How to use Omnimatrix?

Clean the wound and surrounding skin before applying Omnimatrix. If there are any scabs, these should be gently washed until they are completely removed. Apply Omnimatrix so that a thin protective layer of cream remains on the surface. For dressings without dressings, apply Omnimatrix at least twice a day. The duration of use should be as long as necessary until the skin regains its normal appearance.

Factors to avoid when managing wounds:

• Excessive movement of the wound – When difficult healing is anticipated due to movement, especially in the limbs, the wound should be immobilized for 10 days.
• Antibiotics – These should be avoided in non-infected wounds, as local irritation or simple inhibition of fibroblasts can delay healing. In infected wounds, especially if they are extensive, systemic antibiotic therapy should be preferred, with local antibiotic therapy being applied until the infection is under control, at which point the wound is left to heal without the need for local antibiotics.
• Necrotic tissue – All devitalized tissue or tissue with little chance of regaining blood supply must be removed before the first dressing.
